Both ruling elders and teaching elders are being sought by the Nominating & Representation Committee to serve the connectional church on various Presbytery of Lake Michigan groups.

 The committee is especially seeking:

  • Leadership Team: Two members at large, including one from the North region, with one to serve in the Class of 2023 and one in the Class of 2024.
  • Commission on Ministry (COM): three ruling elders, including one female and one male teaching elder to serve in the East Region; two ruling elders to serve in the North Region, and two ruling elders to serve in the Southwest Region

Also, the committee is still accepting applications from individuals willing to attend the 225th annual PC(USA) General Assembly, including:

  •  Teaching elders willing to serve as a commissioner or an alternate.
  • Youth willing to serve as the alternate Young Adult Advisory Delegate.

The assembly will be held in a hybrid model between June 18 and July 9, 2022 in Louisville, Kentucky.

The Committee did review applications received this summer and presented some nominations to the September 18, 2021, Stated Meeting of the Presbytery. The body elected one youth, three ruling elders and one teaching elder for election to roles during the 2022 General Assembly.
