The Synod continues its tradition of expressing gratitude to preachers, musicians, tech leaders, and others for their hard work in December. A virtual worship service, scheduled for New Year’s Eve morning (12/31/23), will be led by individuals across the Synod, featuring a reflection by Synod Exec Chip Hardwick. This service aims to provide a meaningful worship experience while offering a Sabbath to worship leaders.

In the past, congregations have come together to watch the service in the sanctuary, and last year’s service, viewed over 1500 times, was well-received. The Synod encourages congregations and members to take advantage of this offering again this year.

The Synod appreciates the input from those who shared their preferences for a 12/24 or 12/31 service. Although the decision was close, the New Year’s Eve morning service received more votes.
