Megan Higle
Worship leaders who use the 2024-2025 “Call to Worship” guide will find suggestions from the music director at First Presbyterian Church of Lansing about what adult choral anthems to use.
Megan Higle, who also is Director of Christian Education and Youth for the congregation, will provide six to eight suggestions about what adult choral anthems to use for every Sunday worship and any special worship services, like Christmas Eve and Good Friday, during the church year.
That means that Megan will suggest about 440 different choral anthems that fit the specific scripture readings assigned for each worship during the liturgical year seasons.
“Call To Worship” is a planning resource published quarterly by the Office of Theology and Worship by the Presbyterian Church (USA). It is available by subscription.
Higle earned a bachelor of music in vocal performance from Marygrove College in Detroit and a master’s degree in choral conducting from Oakland University. She also has a voice and piano studio where she enjoys teaching and mentoring.
