Any congregation that might apply for a 2023 FEMA Nonprofit Security Grant is encouraged to attend one of six upcoming informational webinars about the grant program and application process.

The Nonprofit Security Grant Program (NSGP) provides competitive grant funds for non-profit organizations at high risk of terrorism or other extremist attacks to enhance security and to promote emergency preparedness, coordination and collaboration between public and private community representatives.

Presbyterian Disaster Assistance has distributed information about the NSGP during the past few years. While the application process is time consuming, there have been PC(USA) congregations that have successfully applied for and received funds.

Informational webinars about the NSGP are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, March 3; 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 8; 3 p.m. Thursday, March 30; 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 4; 3 p.m. Tuesday, April 25; and 2 p.m. Thursday, May 4.

More information about the grant program, application process and how to register for the informational webinars may be found at https://www.fema.gov/grants/preparedness/nonprofit-security. Those who plan to attend a webinar are encouraged to review resources available on the site before the program.
