Both ruling elders and teaching elders are being sought by the Nominating & Representation Committee to serve the connectional church on various Presbytery of Lake Michigan groups and by attending the 225th annual PC(USA) General Assembly in 2022.

Committee members are especially seeking applicants to join the Commission on Ministry and the Commission on the Preparation for Ministry, and to participate in the next general assembly that will be held in a hybrid model between June 18 and July 9, 2022.

“We need help only you can provide,” N&R Committee members write in a letter detailing their appeal to congregational leaders. “We are asking sessions for assistance in attracting the gifts of ruling and teaching elders to serve the connectional church.”

Individuals interested in serving on the COM, CPM or other presbytery team, commission, committee or group can find a fillable .pdf application here and an online application form here. More information about opportunities to serve at the presbytery level is available on the Nominations & Representation section of the Documents Page of the website.
