The Lake Institute on Faith and Giving is offering a new online short course aimed at clergy, staff, and volunteer leaders in religious congregations on Developing Legacy Giving in Congregations.

Participants in this course will gain the knowledge and practical skills necessary to establish or enhance a legacy giving program for their congregation. Key highlights include:

  • Understanding the compelling reasons behind developing a legacy giving program, encompassing generational wealth transfer demographics, organizational sustainability, and the personal and spiritual significance for donors. 
  • Analyzing methods for identifying and inviting potential legacy donors, as well as honing the art of discussing legacy-related questions with prospective donors.
  • Formulating practical plans for publicity, establishing a leadership team, and fostering positive momentum for the congregation’s legacy gift program.
