The Synod of the Covenant has received a $94,000 grant to explore the challenges and possibilities of artificial intelligence in ministry and the Christian life. As part of this initiative, presbytery members, church leaders, and congregations are invited to share their perspectives through a brief survey.
Your input will play a vital role in shaping how this work develops and what resources or support may be offered in the future. The survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes to complete and is open through May 6, 2026.
Please take a few moments to participate and consider sharing it within your congregation, newsletters, and social media to encourage broad participation.

I think that AI is way too much in its infancy to allow it to create a religious following. Beliefs are or can be a rather precarious thing often too easily manipulated by unscrupulous people. Religion is no exception to being manipulated and has been though the ages. I see AI as allowing for that manipulation to take place at a lightning pace whether wanted or not. Most people already are having trouble distinguishing between fact and fiction because of AI. I’d hate to think that our sermons become developed by AI with little or no way to learn truth and facts. If a lier lies more because of AI use, who will catch and correct them?
