On Sunday, May 17th at 4:00pm, First Presbyterian CHurch Grand Haven will host Omar Salinas Chacón, a Mission Specialist for the Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA). Omar will share with us about the PDA’s work caring for communities adversely affected by crises and catastrophic events. He will focus on the PDA’s work with natural disaster relief, such as relief efforts in North Carolina in the wake of Hurricane Helene in 2024 and the PC(USA)’s domestic response to refugee, asylum seekers, and other forced migrants at the border and throughout the country. Please join us to hear about the PCUSA’s disaster relief efforts and enjoy some coffee and cookies.
