From September 8th to October 6th, the PC(USA) invites congregations, small groups, families, and individuals to participate in the 2024 Season of Peace. This annual event is a month-long journey focused on deepening our commitment to peace and justice. The following resources are available to help give opportunities to reflect on and work towards peace in our lives and communities.
Path of Peace Daily Reflections
This year’s reflections highlight the lives of Presbyterians who have made significant contributions to peace and justice, offering daily vignettes that inspire and challenge us to follow their example. These stories emphasize the importance of pursuing peace in tangible ways, even in difficult times.
Peace Cards
Peace Cards are designed to guide reflection, action, and prayer. Each card features a question, an action step, and a prayer. The cards cover six areas of peacemaking, identified by specific icons: Personal (Yellow), Family (Blue), Church (Red), Community (Orange), Environment (Green), and World (Purple).
Educational Resources
The Season of Peace also includes a variety of educational materials:
- Lessons from the Table: A five-session curriculum for children focused on the communion table.
- The Things that Make for Peace: A five-week adult Bible study exploring the paths to peace.
- Risking Peace: A study guide for adults based on the book Five Risks Presbyterians Must Take for Peace.
