A 7.8 magnitude earthquake near the Turkey-Syria border struck in the early hours of February 6. This earthquake is estimated to affect more than 23 million people.

Ongoing coordinated response efforts are underway by Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) and World Mission through multiple long-term partners in the region with a focus on distributing winterization items (blankets, mattresses), food items, and medicines.

Presbyterians are being asked to pray for those impacted by this destruction. To support the PMA/PDA response financially, designate gifts to DR999999-ST Earthquake.
