Finding ways to reconcile grief and joy during times of resilience is the focus of a special Advent program being presented by the Rev. Woong-Sik (Timothy) Chon.
“An Evening in December – From Grieving to Joy” is scheduled from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 6, 2022, in-person at the Catholic Information Center in Grand Rapids or online.
Required advanced registration for the ecumenical event may be completed here. Participants who register by December 1 will receive a materials packet.
There is no cost to attend the program, although a donation to benefit Artists Creating Together is suggested.
Rev. Chon, pastor of North Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lansing, is an artist who has taught in both art institutions and seminaries and served for the past 25 years as a liturgical art consultant.
The event is sponsored by the church communities of Bethlehem Lutheran, Cathedral of Saint Andrew, St. Mark’s Episcopal, Westminster Presbyterian plus the Catholic Information Center and Kaufman Interfaith Institute.
