A garden show and progressive garden tour in 2019 helped Pennfield Presbyterian Church in Battle Creek fund improvements to its flowerbeds and memorial garden.
Congregation members worked with the Rev. Dr. Annemarie S. Kidder to organize the events, which raised about $6,000 for the gardens and led to additional contributions to replace part of the long, curving driveway and reseal the parking lot.
