Registrations are due by Thursday, August 5, for the second Boundaries and Ethics Training class being offered this year at no charge to any teaching elder or ruling elder within the Synod of the Covenant.
Trainers with LeaderWise will present the Not Your Usual Boundaries Training! class three times during 2021 under an agreement with the Synod. Each class will be offered via Zoom in two 2.5-hour sessions on successive days. The classes are scheduled from:
6 to 8:30 p.m.
Wednesday and Thursday
August 18 and 19, 2021
Registration due August 5
10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Tuesday and Wednesday
November 9 and 10, 2021
Registration due October 27
There is no charge to attend the boundaries training but registration is required.
Examples used in the August sessions will be geared more towards ruling elders while the November session will be targeted more towards pastors and teaching elders BUT participants may attend whichever pair of sessions best fits their schedule..
Completing this course fulfills the mandate that all teaching elders active in ministry within the Presbytery of Lake Michigan complete boundaries and ethics training. This mandate applies to all teaching elders who are actively serving in congregations and validated ministry, honorably retired or members at large plus Commissioned Ruling Elders and Christian educators. However, participants must submit a copy of their course completion certificate to office@lakemichiganpresbytery.
