Each year, Presbyterian Outlook hosts a luncheon during the General Assembly giving participants a chance to meet those standing for moderator. The event also provides a chance to share what’s been going on at the Outlook, honor those who have made contributions to the church, and fundraise for the coming year.

But the 224th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) will look very different this year as the abbreviated assembly will be held entirely online.

So the Outlook event also is going virtual this year with a 90-minute live webinar scheduled for 7 p.m. (ET) Wednesday, June 10 . Outlook editor Jill Duffield will host a conversation with those standing for moderator of the 224th General Assembly. The candidates include:

Gregory Bentley, teaching elder, Presbytery of North Alabama; and
Elona Street-Stewart, ruling elder, Presbytery of the Twin Cities area

Sandra Hedrick, teaching elder, Presbytery of St. Augustine; and
Moon Lee, ruling elder, Presbytery of the Northwest Coast

Arthur Fullerton, ruling elder, Albany Presbytery; and
Marie Mainard O’Connell, teaching elder, Presbytery of Arkansas

Since this event typically serves as a fundraiser for the Outlook’s ministry, participation is by a donation of at least $10. Your donation helps Outlook report on this year’s General Assembly and the changes that surround it. To learn more about the event and register, click below.
