The Synod of the Covenant is offering a special virtual worship service for Dec. 29, 2024, created to give thanks to preachers, musicians, and tech teams who have worked tirelessly throughout the year, especially during the busy Advent season. This service acknowledges the importance of rest and renewal, reminding us of God’s gift of Sabbath after weeks of extra responsibilities and high expectations.

This year’s service is led by participants and leaders from the Cultivating the Gift of Preaching initiative, an 18-month cohort program that trains church members to preach. Their inspiring efforts showcase the incredible talent and dedication within our synod. The worship experience will also feature contributions from talented musicians across our presbyteries and synod staff.

The service is available now on the Synod of the Covenant’s website (www.synodofthecovenant.org) and YouTube channel (Synod of the Covenant – YouTube) A downloadable bulletin and service video is accessible on the website homepage, and the service can be streamed from YouTube.

Whether your congregation gathers in the sanctuary to watch together or families and individuals participate from the comfort of home, this worship service is designed to inspire faith in Jesus, Emmanuel—God with us—and empower you to serve in His name.
