Spots are still available for boundaries training sessions offered during 2024 through a partnership between the Synod of the Covenant and its member presbyteries. One session remains on June 1, 2024 specifically for ruling elders of the Presbytery of Lake Michigan. Completing this course fulfills the new Book of Order requirement that all active ruling elders receive boundaries training.

The Presbytery of Lake Michigan Sexual Misconduct Policy mandates that boundaries and ethics training must be renewed every 36 months. The mandate applies to all teaching elders and ruling elders who are actively serving in congregations or in validated ministry, including members-at-large, honorably retired members, commissioned ruling elders (CREs), and Christian educators (CCEs).

Participants must attend the entire training to receive credit for completing the program and must submit a copy of their course completion certificate to office@lakemichiganpresbytery.org for the presbytery files.

The cost of the training is fully covered. The limit for each session is 40 participants. It is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. This includes training on sexual misconduct but NOT Childhood Sexual Abuse Prevention training. Participants must be present for all six hours to receive credit
