Preparations continue for the Presbytery of Lake Michigan Stated Meeting scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 13, 2023 at the First Presbyterian Church of Lansing.

The meeting theme – Make Use of Our Hands – will focus on anti-racism work within the presbytery and the context of our congregations. Workshop titles and content will be made available in the next couple of weeks. The workshop leaders include Rev. Dr Paul Robertson, President – Johnson C. Smith Seminary, Rev. Jermaine Ross-Allam, Director of the Center for Repair of Historical Harms, and Mr. George Barfield, FPC-Spring Lake, MI. 

The day will begin with informal conversations about anti-racism work with members of the Presbytery’s Racial Equity Cohort during a drop-in fellowship time from 8 a.m. until the meeting opens.

Childcare will be available for children from birth to 5 years old during this meeting. Please indicate on the registration form the name and age of each child that will need care. Registration for childcare must be submitted by Tuesday, May 30, 2023 so that adequate staffing can be arranged.
