Learning ways in which community is key for sustaining us in our Sabbath journey is the focus of the Lake Michigan Presbyterian Women’s Spring Gathering 2023.

The event is scheduled for 9:30 a.m., Saturday, April 22, and will be held at First Presbyterian Church,  659 State Street, Holland. The cost is $18 per person, and advance registration is due by Friday, April 7.

The keynote speaker will be Carol Bechtel, an ordained minister and Old Testament professor at Western Theological Seminary in Holland. Bechtel authored the 2022-23 Horizons Bible Study, “Celebrating Sabbath – Accepting God’s Gift of Rest and Delight.” Her comments will be based on Acts 2:44-47.

The event offering is designated for the First Presbyterian Preschool scholarship program. Members of the Holland Presbyterian Women also will collect new undergarments with tags attached for donation to Resilience, which supports domestic and sexual violence victims in Ottawa and Allegan counties.

Completed registration forms and fees should be mailed to LMPW Treasurer Sue Och at 2123 Hillside Drive, Norton Shores, MI 49441. Questions may be directed to her at s2123@aol.com.
