
The Presbytery of Lake Michigan will offer three boundary training sessions in 2025. One session will be held online through LeaderWise, while the other two will be in person, led by the Presbytery.
April 30 – LeaderWise (via Zoom)
- Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST
- Cost: $98 (Participants are responsible for the fee. General grants are available through the Presbytery if cost is a barrier.)

September 20 – Kalamazoo First Pine Island Chapel
- Time: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM EST
- Location: First Presbyterian Church’s Pine Island Chapel, 8882 W Q Avenue, Mattawan, MI 49701
- Led by: Rev. Dr. Fran Lane-Lawrence, Rev. Kristin Stroble, and Rev. Annamarie Groenenboom

October 11 – Forest Hills Presbyterian Church

This training fulfills the Book of Order (G- 3.0106) and Presbytery of Lake Michigan Sexual Misconduct Policy mandates, requiring all active teaching elders within the Presbytery to complete boundary and ethics training. This requirement applies to:
- Teaching elders actively serving in congregations or validated ministries
- Members-at-large and honorably retired members
- Commissioned Ruling Elders (CREs)
- Certified Christian Educators (CCEs)
- Inquirers/Candidates under care of the Presbytery
Training must be completed every 36 months (three years), with proof of completion submitted to the appropriate governing council.
