Greetings

I hope all are healthy and well. I wish we could be together in person, but as the coronavirus pandemic prevents that from happening, I write to share these key updates from the Board of Pensions. If you have questions, my colleagues in Philadelphia and I are happy to assist.

The attached newsletter features some information from the Board of Pensions about:

  • How to complete 2021 Employer agreements online before October 9, 2020, to provide benefits to employees.  The website provides key information about the cost of benefits and the opportunity to model different selections to help church leaders make informed decisions about what benefits to offer along with info to help the church’s designated Employer Representative follow the steps to complete the Employer Agreement.
  • What changes are included 2021 Benefits Plan that extends support to more ministers and adds benefits that promote financial protection for all church workers. There also is information about state-based pricing for dental PPO plans in 2021.
  • Opportunities for employees covered by the Board of Pensions medical plan to continue earning Call to Health points through November 13 to qualify for lower deductibles in 2021. Required annual check-ups may be completed virtually.
  • A statement that the Board of Pensions “stands in support of racial equality, and against deeply ingrained prejudices against Black Americans and other people of color simply because of the color of their skin.” Read the full statement here.

Feel free to contact me for additional information. You also may contact Member/Employer Services at (800) 773-7752 between 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. (EST) Monday through Friday.

Blessings,
