Join the Palm Sunday Path on Sunday, March 29 at 3:00 p.m. in Lansing, MI.

In a time when our communities can feel divided and fearful, we gather to remember what unites us. We gather to encourage one another. We gather to make visible the love of Christ in our life together.

The Palm Sunday Path is a growing movement of Christians across Michigan who are organizing around the values found in Matthew 25—caring for those who are hungry, sick, and marginalized—while offering a faithful witness distinct from White Christian Nationalism. Rooted in the story of Palm Sunday, when Jesus entered Jerusalem humbly and peacefully on a donkey, this movement lifts up a vision of God’s kingdom grounded not in power, but in love, compassion, and justice.

On Sunday, March 29 at 3:00 p.m., participants are invited to gather in Lansing for a peaceful public procession beginning at Pilgrim Church (125 S. Pennsylvania Ave.) and walking to the Michigan State Capitol. This event will include prayer, singing, and collective witness, bringing together people of faith from across denominations to embody the call of Christ in visible and meaningful ways.

Presbyterians are encouraged to park at First Presbyterian Church of Lansing (510 W. Ottawa St.), where shuttle transportation will be provided to the starting point at Pilgrim Church. In addition, youth and their adult leaders are invited to gather at First Presbyterian at 2:00 p.m. for fellowship and sign-making before joining the procession—an opportunity to connect with other young people committed to faith and justice.

In a time marked by division and uncertainty, the Palm Sunday Path offers a moment to come together in unity, to encourage one another, and to publicly affirm a shared commitment to love our neighbors. Whether walking in the procession, joining at the Capitol, or supporting this work within local communities, all are welcome to participate.
