The Wade in the Water: White Supremacy, Religion and Reciprocity conference – being hosted in Charlotte by The Privilege Institute – offers both in-person and online speakers, networking events and workshops.

Keynote speakers for the event include:
- Bree Newsome – A writer, producer, activist, musician and artist, and consultant, she drew national attention in 2015 when she climbed the flagpole in front of the South Carolina Capitol building and lowered the confederate battle flag.
- Dr. Khyati Y. Joshi—A scholar and thought leader in the intersecting issues of race, religion and immigration in the United States, she is co-founder of the Institute for Teaching Diversity and Social Justice, a professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University and author of several books, including White Christian Privilege: The Illusion of Religious Equality in America.
- Rev. Gregory Drumwright – While serving as pastor of The Citadel Church in Greensboro, NC, he also is a professor of public speaking and human communication at High Point University and senior principal consultant for L.E.A.D. (Leadership Enhancement and Academic Development) as he prepares for his sophomore record release.
- Resmaa Menakem – A healer, New York Times-bestselling author, master coach and trauma specialist, he hosts Guerilla Muse, a new podcast series that mixes humor with serious trending topics and is described as an anti-racism educator.
Participants may attend eight different workshops during the conference. All conference participants will have access to recordings of the workshop content and keynote recordings for 21 days after the event ends.
