Executive Presbyter Sabbatical (July 20–October 19, 2026)
Our Executive Presbyter and Stated Clerk, Rev. Dr. Fran Lane-Lawrence, will be on sabbatical from July 20 through October 19, 2026. During this time, she will be taking a time of rest, renewal, and learning with family and friends, including travel, time in nature, and a Spanish immersion program in Puerto Rico. We are grateful for this opportunity for renewal and look forward to welcoming her back refreshed and ready for ministry.
While Fran is away, several colleagues will provide leadership and support:
Rev. Kristin Stroble – Congregational support, Committee on Ministry (COM) matters, and congregations or pastors in crisis.
Rev. Cal Bremer – Administrative Commissions, finance, and shared leadership responsibilities, including staff matters, legal counsel, expenditure approvals, and serving as a spokesperson for the presbytery.
Rev. Annamarie Groenenboom – Nominating and Representation Committee support, Stated Clerk signature needs, and routine polity questions.
Rev. Ted McCulloch (Stated Clerk, Presbytery of Lake Huron) – Clerk Pro Tem and parliamentarian for the September stated meeting, and available for polity questions and constitutional interpretations.
We are deeply grateful to each of these leaders for their willingness to serve during Fran’s sabbatical.
