- Board of Pension
Learn about new offerings from the PC(USA) Board of Pensions during the keynote address by the Rev. Dr. Doug Portz, Senior Consultant.
- Peacekeeping Program
Jeff Bamenjo, coordinator of RELUFA, the Network for the Fight Against Hunger, a Joining Hands partner of the Presbyterian Hunger Program in Cameroon, will share information.
- Election of one (1) Young Adult Advisory Delegate, two (2) ruling elders, and two (2) teaching elders to serve as commissioners to the 224th PC(USA) General Assembly June 20-27, 2020 in Baltimore.
- First reading of the 2020 presbytery budget.
- An update on the Vital Congregations Initiative that the presbytery will begin in January.
Worship Offering goes to Hands & Feet
Hands & Feet is an initiative to highlight and strengthen local and national efforts by the PC(USA) to facilitate change and communicate God’s love.
Changes to 30-seconds Announcements
In an effort to better inform people about exciting activities and ideas, the Presbytery is presenting those 30-second announcements as a PowerPoint presentation that will be shown several times during the Stated Meeting.
Lunch will be turkey salad OR vegetarian Nicoise salad. Both include sliced tomatoes, rolls, fruits and homemade desserts. Cost is $8 per person.
Lunch reservations are due by noon Thursday, September 5. Payment should be sent by Monday, September 9, to the Presbytery of Lake Michigan at 1511 Helen Avenue, Portage, MI 49002. If you pay at the meeting, bring cash or a check payable to Fairplain Presbyterian Church.
If you do NOT order a lunch by September 5, there may not be one available for you.
Honorably retired teaching elders will receive a special mailed invitation to lunch with the Board of Pensions. Please follow the RSVP instructions in the invitation.
